Winter Dance
ASTEC High School’s Junior Class will be sponsoring a Winter Semi-Formal Dance on Friday night, December 19 at OSU-OKC.
| ROBOTICS CLUB WHAT IS IT? A club for you! You will be designing, building, programming, and operating a 120+ pound ASTEC robot and using it to compete against other school’s robots. NASA will give us a challenge, and we will build our robot to meet that challenge. WHAT CAN I DO? We want leaders, designers, builders, computer operators, artists, cheerleaders, media specialists, and their parents, to help each other build an awesome competition robot. WHAT KIND OF ROBOT? We will go to OSU early next year to start building the robot from a kit of parts, and to find out what kind of challenge NASA has for us. Then we are given less than two months to make the modifications and get trained for competition. In the end we will have a $6000 (or more) robot on our hands. HOW CAN I FIND OUT MORE? See Mr. Stewart or Mr. Nunes and let them know how you would like to help. Then be ready to put in a lot of after-school work to make this the coolest project ASTEC has ever seen!

Students Linh Hoang, Dylan Hanks, Ana Martinez and Joey Urbina completed a work of art in Mrs. Kastl AP English class depicting the Salem witch trials of 1692. Their work will be added to a time line encircling the room. Junior AP students are currently reading The Crucible- a play written by Arthur Miller.
