Mr. Steve Moore- High School Counselor
Steve Moore as born in Omaha Nebraska to a career Air Force officer. Much of childhood memories consisted of moving from one remote and desolate base to another where a young boy didn't have much to do. After his father retired from the Air Force the family had moved to Albuquerque New Mexico where Mrs. Moore was originally from. Steve finally was able to establish roots and have a semblance of an ordinary adolescence. High school consisted of football and graduation with an undecided caeer path. Steve has always been interested in the darker side of human behavior so studying psychology at the University of New Mexico seemed like a natural fit. The original plan was to complete graduate school and enter into forensic psychology. As time went on and money ran out, Steve then became interested in the study and treatment of sex offenders. Given an opportunity to intern at an adolescent treatment center where assessment, treatment and community supervision was emphasized a new and exciting aspect to psychology was launched.
After graduate school Steve was offered a position as program director of a twenty five bed juvenile sex offender program where he also cultivated a private practice focussing on adlescent sex offenders. After the birth of their daughter, Paige, Stve and Donita came to the conclusion that life was moving too fast and decided to move to Oklahoma in may of 2007 where family ties and a slower pace seemed to be the best answer to a very complicated scenerio. Now the world from Norman seems to make a little more sense.
