High School Technolgy Department

Mr. David Nunes- High School Technology Teacher

David Nunes
is originally from Brazil and has lived in U.S. since 1999. He is a graduate from the University of Oklahoma with a degree in Computer Science and minor in Mathematics. He also holds an Associate Degree in science from Oklahoma City Community College. This is his fourth year as a teacher and is still very excited to teach and pass his knowledge on to the students.

He enjoyed tutoring beginning programming while in college. His family has many teachers and he believes he has inherited his passion for teaching from them.

Besides computers, Mr. Nunes enjoy playing sports, especially soccer. In his spare time, he likes to play electric guitar and listen to many types of music, from classical to rock.

His personal mission is to help the students learn new technology concepts in and out of the classroom so they can apply their skills and knowledge to achieve their goals and succeed in life.

Mr. Harrison Wolohon- High School Technology Teacher

Harrison Wolohon
joined ASTEC in August 2008 as an 8th grade technology teacher and a high school video/ film production teacher.  He graduated from Jenks High School where he was very active in the performing arts. Harrison has a rich background as a performer and has worked with many organizations including Busch Gardens, Lyric Theater, and the Tulsa Opera, PolyGram Records, Mercury Records. He graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2002 with a B.A. in Musical Theater.  He has had a wide professional experience working in the film, commercial and music business.

His teaching career began five years ago as the theater director at a local performing arts studio, where he directed over ten musical productions.  In 2005, Harrison began his teaching career in the Oklahoma Public School System where he had the opportunity to teach a video production class.  The class developed the school’s first television show to be aired on public access utilizing green screen technology.

Harrison is thrilled to begin a new journey at ASTEC and looks forward to many new projects with the 8th graders as their new technology teacher!
