Mrs. Patricia Sholar- High School Principal
Patricia Sholar received her Bachelor's Degree from Oklahoma State University, her Master's Degree from Northeastern OSU, her Principal's Certification from the University of Oklahoma, her Superintendent's Certification and her Post Graduate from Tulsa University. Mrs. Sholar's teaching career was in middle school, elementary school, and high school. She was a Superintendent of Schools in several districts for fifteen years and was Assistant State Superintendent of Education for the Oklahoma State Department of Education.
Mrs. Sholar was honored and recognized by the Oklahoma Legislative House of Representatives as "One of Oklahoma's Finest Superintendents" and was appointed by the Governor to the Oklahoma Interagency Commission for Children, the Interagency Coordinating Council for Early Childhood Intervention, the State Board of School Improvement where she served as Chairperson, the Textbook Task Force and the Oklahoma Developmental Disabilities Commission. She also received the Governor's Award for Academic Excellence for Innovative Educational Programs. Her service included serving on the State Interagency Council for Sooner SUCCESS, and the Traumatic Brain Injury Advisory Board, the State Superintendent's Advisory Board among many others. She was the first woman to serve on the Board of Directors for the OSSAA (Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association).
Among her community service, she has been involved in Leadership Oklahoma since 1996, the Academy for State Goals, the Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumni, the Oklahoma State University Alumni, the Posse Club and many church activities.
She is married to Bob Sholar and they have spent many years traveling. They spent five months in Yellowstone National Park in their RV living in the grizzly bear corridor, enjoying the wild animals, the thermal areas, and being involved in studying the wolves of Yellowstone. They have four children: Bret Sholar who is with the Oklahoma Department of Mines and lives in Oklahoma City with his wife and three daughters; Curt Sholar who is an attorney with the United States Department of Interior in Billings Montana and lives in Laurel Montana with his wife, daughter and two sons; Susan Sholar Hanny who is on staff in the College of Education at Western State College in Gunnison Colorado where she lives with her husband and two sons; and daughter Sarah Sholar Landry who is the At-Risk Coordinator for Hinsdale County Public Health and is a Dental Assistant and lives in Lake City Colorado with her two sons.

Mr. Jeff Coe- High School Assistant Principal
Jeff Coe Jeff Coe is originally from North East Ohio. He graduated Olmsted Falls High School in Olmsted Falls, Ohio. In 1974, he joined the United States Army and received basic training at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
He went on to advanced individual training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Mr. Coe retired from the Army in 1996. During his career he spent over eleven years in Europe.
After retirement, Mr. Coe attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in education. He has been teaching at ASTEC for the last five years, during which time, he has taught Oklahoma, U.S. and World history courses. He currently teaches Advanced Placement U.S. History, and American Government &. Politics.
Mr. Coe and his wife reside in Norman, Oklahoma and he has two daughters and twelve grandchildren living in Oklahoma, Ohio and Texas.

Mrs. Linda Marshall- High School Counselor Linda Marshall has been in education for twenty-six years. She graduated from Seminole State College with and Associate Degree and East Central University Degree with a Bachelor's Degree in secondary education majoring in Chemistry and Biology. She graduated in the top ten students of her graduating class. Linda has taught Chemistry, Biology, Zoology, Anatomy, Physical Science and Earth Science. She received her Master's Degree from East Central University in Secondary Education and continued on to get her K-12 Counseling Certification. Linda is also certified as an Elementary Principal.
Ms. Marshall was named Teacher of the Year at Butner, Seminole County Teacher of the Year, Seminole Educator of the Month, Okemah High School Teacher of the Year, and was selected to Who's Who. She is married to Trey Holmes who is an accountant at UniMark in Edmond. She has two grown sons Shane, who is assistant Chief of Police in Seminole, OK and Darrin who works as an IT specialist in Huntsville, Alabama. Linda has five delightful grandsons.

Ms. Sarah Bui - High School Co-Teacher
Sarah Bui graduated from the University of Oklahoma in May 2006 with a
Bachelors' of Science in Social Studies Education. She is certified in World,
United States, and Oklahoma History, Government, Geography, and
Economics. She currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Educational
Administration, Curriculum, and Supervision in hopes of one day becoming an
Educational Administrator for the public school system. After her parents left
Vietnam, she became the first person in her family to be born in America and
become a United States citizen. Her Vietnamese name translates to
America. Ms. Bui has traveled to many places around the world including
Hong Kong and Vietnam. She hopes one day that she can go back to her
hometown in Vietnam and rebuild the schools to give the children a better
opportunity for an education.

Mr. Kyle Guyer- High School Varsity Basketball Coach
Kyle Guyer was born and raised in Edmond, Ok before moving to Florida, where he graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School, located in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Kyle went on to attend UCO in Edmond, OK seeking a Bachelor degree in Business Education. He currently coaches Varsity Boys basketball, and has coached for many years in different avenues. He is married to Julie Guyer and they have two great kids, his 18 year old adopted daughter and 11 year old son. His hobbies include coaching, riding bikes with his family on weekends, playing football and basketball with his son, swimming, social networking with friends and family and attending church. He enjoys being a part of a community and volunteering to help with projects of interest. He is very excited to be part of the staff here at ASTEC. He wants to make a difference in the classroom with student learning and hopes that he can be a good influence and make a difference in student’s lives.

Ms. Kristi Kime- High School Secretary/Registrar
Kristi Kime has worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Education and for the Oklahoma Commission for Teacher Preparation. After 27 years of service to the State of Oklahoma, she retired in December of 2008.
Ms. Kime has two children, three grandchildren, and is expecting a new grandchild in October. In her free time she loves watching her kids play soccer, traveling, reading, and watching movies. She is half Scottish, and has started lessons in learning to play the bagpipes. Her goal is to play with the Oklahoma Scottish Pipes and Drums band very soon.

Mr. James Pierce- High School Custodian James Pierce was head custodian for Oklahoma City Schools for twenty-four years. This will be his tenth year at ASTEC. He and his wife have been married for thiryt-nine years and have three children. He loves watching sporting events and is an avid football fan.
